Brothers Conflict: Passion Pink

Hello this is my first time writing some SORT of a review; actually it’s more like some rants and ramblings of mine. I played the game quite a while ago, so there might be mistakes here and there. m(_ _)m Please excuse any mistakes and my weird English. (*´ω｀*人) ﾖﾛｼｸﾈ♪

Brother conflict is about a lucky girl, Hinata Ema, who gets her reversed harem of 11 + 2 ikemen brothers from the Asahina family. Her father Rintaro remarried superwoman Asahina Miwa who had like 13 kids in 21 years and still manages to build a successful career. She even built an apartment building to house her kids._. Ema kicks ass at gaming, not did she triumph above Subaru and Yuusuke, she even gets a higher score on her first try on this shooter game than Natsume, who was on the developer team of the game.

Passion Pink allows you take down 7/13 of the brothers (According to age, PP character in bold):

Masaomi: Paediatrician. Has a gentle personality and likes children, especially bonded with the youngest brother, Wataru.

Ukyo: Lawyer, he takes care of the family like a mom and does all the household chores.

Kaname: A rather ‘special’ monk. He is popular amongst the brothers, is rather promiscuous but he is rather good at making observations of others.

Hikaru: A cross-dressing noir writer who appears later in the story.

Tsubaki: A seiyuu and a troublemaker. Triplets with Azusa and Natsume, he is monozygotic with Azusa and the two are often inseparable. Has imouto moe and always hoped for a younger sister.

Azusa: Seiyuu, since he is always with Tsubaki who can see that see that he has common sense in contrast. He is like the owner that stops puppy Tsubaki. He is a genius that can do anything well but can’t stay focus on something for long. (isn’t that similar to Starry Sky’s Azusa O_O)

Natsume: A salaryman who works for a game company. Triplets with Tsubaki and Azusa but he is dizygotic. He left the Sunrise residence and lives alone.

Louis:  A beautician with hair fetish and is only one who can converse with Juri (Ema’s talking squirrel) besides Ema herself. It is mentioned in the novel that he is actually adopted.

Subaru: College students and a basketball regular in his school team. He is straightforward and has no immunity towards women.

Iori: High school student studying in some high classed private school. He is gentle, good at both academic and sport, the perfect “princely” character. His name is well known amongst girls from neighboring schools. He makes a comeback as a model in chap 27 of season 2 of the novel.

Yuusuke: Ema’s classmate. He is a delinquent with a great sense of justice. Has been having a one-sided crush on Ema since his first day of school.

Fuuto: A middle school student who also works as an idol. Fuuto has been working in the entertainment field since young so he talks like an adult, he appears cheeky and arrogant to the family. Since he is the koakuma type, he often plays around with Ema.

Wataru: Primary school student. As the youngest child in the family, he is often doted on by the other brothers (especially Masaomi). He is a good kid and the ultimate most adorable baby brother you can ever wish for! (I mean you have Kaji Yuuki voice acting for Wataru, that alone makes him the epitome of cute little bros!!)

I read bits and pieces of the the novel so I dived into the game slight biasness for certain character. (hey, normally I judge based on looks and somehow I always end up favoring the yanderes ._.) but I can’t really remember what I read in the novel so the review is only based on my impression of the brothers in the game. I’m quite glad/ saddened by the fact that Iori was on the BB team, he seems to arouse a certain discomfort/ excitement in me. Due to the fact Ema actually shows interested towards a certain guy rather than being her indecisive asexual self, I guess there is only a rather small tinge of “conflict” element present in the game.

So the story starts with Ema moving to Sunrise residence with her little talking squirrel Juri…

Masaomi

I went for Masaomi first because I’m the type who can’t finish games. It was a pleasant surprise to find that Masaomi’s route felt like I just ate some vanilla ice cream, sweet and simple. Besides the parts when people mistook him for Wataru’s papa, I was relieved his route had minimal drama about the age gap between Masaomi and Ema. I really glad that Masaomi is like a (sexy) teddy bear rather than some pedobear Oji-san (my worst fear is 5 o’clock shadows on 2D characters *shudders*)

As the eldest son of Asahina family at the age of 31-32, he is the father figure for Wataru since their papa died 10 years ago. He works as a paediatrician and one day Ema went to his workplace to deliver some documents he left behind, she saw him tending to his patient and she could tell by the gentle way he tends to his patient that he really like kids. (人*´v`)  On the last night of the family trip to their summer house, Masaomi invited Ema to play with fireworks by the beach. He wanted to invite Wataru along too but apparently Wataru fell asleep so it ends up being just the 2 of them. (*´艸｀*)

Although Masaomi is a paediatrician, he has haemophobia. (aka fear of blood, then how did he graduate from med sch? ._.) He even passed out one time when Ema cut her hand on some broken mug. When Ema came down with a fever, Masaomi went to check up on her, he didn’t bring a thermometer so he did the forehead thing! (〃v〃) Ema lifted her shirt too much when he asked to see her tummy, and Masaomi started blushing. ( *´艸｀) Ema made a sexy sound like …っ! …んっ! when he touched her tummy and poor Masaomi was like (〃ﾟДﾟ)  SORRY DID I TOUCH SOMETHING WEIRD? IT WASN’T ON PURPOSE!! The atmosphere went awkward so Masaomi performed some ventriloquy thing using his bunny plush Usatan. [cuteness gauge maxed out]

Miwa forced an omiai on Masaomi, despite his reluctance, it seems like Miwa had already given an OK to the other party so Masaomi was forced to at least meet the girl. Kaname and Wataru wanted to stalk Masaomi’s omiai, and Ema decides to join them. (*´艸｀*) On the day itself they didn’t get to see the omiai since it was held in a private room, however, they heard Masaomi giving a clear, flat rejection to the other party because he has “someone he likes”. This made Ema feel all moyamoya inside.

Masaomi invited to Ema to the Christmas party his hospital holds for the sick kids. On their way home from the party, he gave Ema a handmade plush bunny, Usatan no.3, for Christmas.  (〃ω〃) (Masaomi’s is Usatan no.1 and Wataru’s is Usatan no.2) [CUTENESS GAUGE OVERLOADDD]

Ema is an avid gamer, and she was playing some MMO with Subaru and Yuusuke when Masaomi came back from work. Masaomi became depressed because he felt that there is a generation gap between Ema and himself. (Inserts short episode of emotional drama soliloquy) With some help from Wataru, Ema found a pink heart necklace in the back pocket of Usatan no.3 (Masaomi’s bunnies all comes with special functions and no.3 has more than 20). Through the necklace, she realizes Masaomi’s feelings and wore it to breakfast the following morning. This triggered Masaomi’s confession that to him she is not only a family member, a sister but also someone very important to him.  (o^－^o)

Remember Masaomi’s haemophobia? Wataru accidentally cuts himself and started bleeding, Masaomi went all numb at the sight of blood, luckily Ukyo and Azusa was around so they had an ambulance on the way. Ema manned up and slapped Masaomi to get him to give Wataru first aid. In the end the ambulance had to send both Masaomi and Wataru to the hospital ._. Masaomi thanked Ema for giving him the wake up slap and promises to overcome his phobia and they had a cute little episode: Ema went like yay! you can treat me when I get injured too, Masaomi was like …e, that’s a bit… , Ema: O_O you won’t treat me?, Masaomi: I won’t let you get hurt, I will protect you. o(∇≦o)≡(o≧∇) KYAAA ~

In the end, Masaomi and Ema confessed to each other and bummed their foreheads when they tried to kiss. (ﾉ∀｀*ヽ) [CUTENESS GAUGE EXPLODES] They got married and the other brothers were like ヽ(TДT)ﾉ HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?  Poor Yuusuke floated across the screen multiple times. The epilogue had Tsubaki announcing to the rest of the brothers that Ema is preggo with Masaomi’s baby. Poor Yuusuke went HA…HAAAAAAA!!? REA..REALLY!? PLEASE TELL ME IT’S A LIE!!! and ran off across the screen. (what’s with Yuusuke and flashing across the screen ._.) Both Louis and Tsubaki said they hope that the baby is a girl, of course, for completely different reasons. Louis with his hair fetish wanted to arrange the baby’s hair while Tsubaki started having some delusions of his raburabu life with his niece. (ﾉ∀｀ )

        side note:  somehow Ema reminds me of Kristen Steward’s painfully awkward smile in the CG

Kaname

I either went for Kaname or Subaru next, but from my inability to even remember the sequence tells you that neither one left much of an impression on me. (¬_¬) Kaname is the 3^rd son in the family and a lecherous monk, actually I’m not sure whether he was really a monk or works at some monk-themed host club. Half his route, he is delivering some sort of verbal or physical sexual harassment, luckily Ema has her self-defense shields up against him from the start and is all tsuntsun towards Kaname. (*´艸｀*) The stuff he mumbles in his sleep when you go over for sleepover sounds like it came out of some R18 drama CD (ﾉ∀｀ ) and he even attacks Ema. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for flirty character, but his prostidude vibes are just way too strong, it’s overwhelming. However, beneath his exterior shells of  ecchi-ness lies a man who truly cares about his family (I think). Well in summary his route is 50% sexual harassment and 50% drama.

During the family trip, he invited Ema on a night walk by the beach. Ema realise that it’s the first time she has seen Kaname with such a tranquil expression when he looked over the scenery of the beach at night. Kaname delivered a romanticist talk about how when the sky and the sea melts into one at night, human are powerless in front of the prowess of nature, and in turn it makes his troubles feels so insignificant. Our lovely heroine Ema went like “Wow, I’m surprised Kaname-san thinks of these kinds of stuff, I thought your head was only filled with women.” GJ Ema!! (･ω･ﾉﾉ”☆ﾊﾟﾁﾊﾟﾁ After this small redeeming episode, Kaname was about to take a swim in the sea but he tripped over some seaweed and fell into the ocean._. he pulled Ema in with him and obtained the record of the earliest kiss CG in the game. Of course, Ema was like (°Д°) and ran off. She starts ignoring him and can’t even pass the soya sauce to him properly. Kaname can’t the loneriness of being ignored by his cute little sister so he invites her out for a drive at night. Kaname brought her to his “special place” and told her that she is the only person he has ever brought there. Immediately Ema went “You tell that to every other lady you have brought here right?” Man, I think I love Ema the most in Kaname’s route. Again Kaname used his sexual harassment attack and nibbles on her ear when she refused his kiss. ヽ(#ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ┌┛)`Дﾟ)･;’ Then there was some episode about Kaname getting jealous over the twins when they invited Ema out for a movie.

Kaname invites Ema for Christmas date, he drove her to a hotel and she was like all (ﾟДﾟ)  WTH ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH ME!? Well, it turns out Kaname was just teasing her and brought her to the restaurant in hotel for Christmas dinner. ( ゜_ゝ゜) Ema went all tsuntsun and ask Kaname whether she was just a backup plan when his real date couldn’t turn up since he had only invited her on the day itself, Kaname explains that he only did so because he was afraid that if he had invited her earlier and couldn’t turn up, it will make him look bad.

And once, on their way home from school one day, Kaname saw a poor kitten that got ran over, he got off his car and gave the kitty a proper burial. (´；ェ；`) I guess that kind of proof that he is really a nice guy monk inside? (Or am I just too naive?)

One day Yuusuke and Ema were on their way home, they met Tsubaki and saw Kaname in a café with a pretty older lady. Seeing that got Ema all jelly and depressed, because by this time she has already fallen for Kaname but didn’t realise it since she is so busy consciously flushing him out. Tsubaki can’t stand seeing his beloved little sister depressed, he so went all out against Kaname for Ema and told Kaname to stop playing around with her feelings. To prove that his feelings are true, Kaname broke his cell phone and told Tsubaki that he was already planning to cut off all contact with all the other women. Kaname then finds out that Ema had been standing outside the door all the while and overheard their entire conversation. Kaname brings her out to the “special place” again and confessed his feelings for her, hoping that she will come trust him one day. They kiss and have some sexy time in his car. (ﾉ∀｀*ヽ)

In the epilogue, there was some more sexy time with Kaname in his bed. Ukyo called Ema’s cellphone because she was late in meeting up with his to prepare breakfast. Well, Kaname picked up, tried to show off and made Ukyo scream at him.

Ops I almost forgot the ending. On her graduation day, Kaname came to her school in suits with a big bouquet and *drum rolls* a new hairstyle, which increased his hotness by a multiplier of 999999x (*´д`*)ﾊｧﾊｧ (WHY DIDN’T HE DO THIS EARLIER!!?!) He also resigned from his monk/host job and got a proper job under his mom. 

Subaru

Subaru’s head is made up of only 1 thing. Basketball.

He is dense in the head and also shy around girls. As you can see in a scene for Masaomi’s route, even Yuusuke could sense that Masaomi was down and Subaru went like “Oh really? I thought he was being normal.” ( ゜_ゝ゜) He is (not surprisingly) popular with the girls in his university, probably because of his basketball skills. (No one can resist a basketball/ tennis player ʘ‿ʘ) He is cute (in a way), but in my opinion Yuusuke strongly overshadows him.

His route starts with Ema going for a shower in the common room bathroom. She came out with only a bath towel, despite Juri’s warnings she went straight for the milk in the fridge. Guess who came in? Subaru! Hilariously, the screen flashed up down up down like he was checking her out._. Well Subaru was in a much better state than Ema because he had just went for his morning workout and came in at least with the pants on. This reminds me of the drama CD オ·ト·ナ限定 お咎めCD Penalty I, I became a huge fan of Okamoto Nobuhiko after listening to it. (人´v｀)

One day, Yuusuke invited Ema (on a date *coughs*) to see Subaru’s competition. After the competition, Yuusuke left Subaru and Ema by themselves when he went to collect something he had left behind. Ema fangirled over Subaru’s sport prowess and praised his hard work, Subaru was like o_o…you knew about it?… (about him working hard or something)  And there was some long awkward silence. =   =;;

During the family trip, Subaru installed some gentleman DLC and lent Ema’s his jacket when he saw her in bikini. On the first day she couldn’t go swimming because Yuusuke and Subaru went all ( ゜\\\\゜) seeing her in bikini. So on the next day, when Ema tried going swimming again, Subaru was alone this time round and allowed her to follow him, but he went off ahead because he won’t allow himself the pleasure of having a glimpse of her bikini. Ema tried to catch up with Subaru but she nearly drowns. Luckily hero Subaru managed to scope her out of the water and saves the day. (〃ω〃) However due to the panic he forgot about being shy, that is, until Ema told him to put her down so he complied and dropped her back into the sea. (she nearly drowns again)

On his 20^th birthday, Ema baked a cake for Subaru, he goes all  ( ゜\\\\゜ ). Tsubaki fed Subaru too much alcohol and he reveals a beastly side by pushing Ema down and kissing her. (This scene happened in Kaname and Tsubaki’s route too!) Ema thought Subaru won’t remember the incident since he was drunk and all but a few days later he went over to her room to apologize for his misdeed.

When Ema found herself thinking a lot about Subaru, hero Subaru suddenly pops up in front of her. Apparently he was practicing basketball in the park, so she follows him. After his practice, Ema bought them drinks and Subaru revealed to Ema that he started focusing on basketball after reading “a certain” basketball manga he got from Tsubaki (*coughs* suraimu/slime dunk *coughs*) , he was touched by the words of the character with the same position as him (he is the shooting guard if I’m not wrong).

On Christmas Eve, Tsubaki invites Ema to watch DVD with some other brothers. (Likely to be The Nightmare before Christmas, they mention pumpkin king or something.) Ema falls asleep during the movie since she has watched the movie before. Tsubaki asks whether he can take a picture of Ema’s sleeping face but the rest of the bros were like “NO!!” Kaname says that Tsubaki will probably do something not so good with the photo. ( ゜_ゝ゜)  Once again Hero Subaru comes along, Tsubaki and Kaname came up with a great idea to tease Tsubaki — they made him carry Ema back to her room. AND HE DOES SO OHIMESAMA DAKKO STYLE (*´艸｀*) As Rui said, “Subaru-kun is like a prince.”

During the New Year’s visit to the shrine, Hero Subaru saves Ema again when some drunken dudes kept staring at her. After they got away from the drunkards, Ema pointed out that they were still holding hands, Subaru blushed and told her in order to fool them, they should hold hands a little longer. I guess Subaru levelled up. (*´艸｀*)

Ema saw Subaru practicing in the park again, but this time he doesn’t seem to be performing as well, so she decides not to disturb him. On the way home, she met with Yuusuke and discovers that Subaru hasn’t been doing well even in school competitions, and at this rate, he might even be removed from the regulars. Ema asked Yuusuke whether there is something she can do for Subaru. (Ema, you are so cruel sometimes (´；ω；`) ) Yuusuke told her to just keep smiling and be by his side to support him, but it was too late til he realize the consequence of his words…

On the way home from their date, they passed by a park, and the ball of fate rolled towards Subaru. He had a sudden premonition that he will be able to shoot it in, and despite his recent slump, the ball managed to pass the hoops. He was surprise that his premonition came true and realized that it’s because Ema is by his side that he is able to perform well. Since he needs Ema to watch over him, Ema went to support Subaru at his competition. She met Yuusuke on the way (they even turned on the sad bgm) and asked Yuusuke whether he is going too. Yuusuke replied that he won’t be going, that no matter what he just can’t go for that day, since Subanii is only empowered by Ema’s smiles and told Ema to give an extra share of support to Subaru in his place. The moment Ema turned around she heard Yuusuke running off. (ｐ＿；) YUUSUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE~~~ Of course Subaru’s team won and he thanked Ema for being by his side, Ema promised to always be by his side to support him. NOOO YUUSUKEEEEE~ ಥ_ಥ

In the ending, Subaru invites Ema to watch a pro basketball match. Since they are planning a date in front of everyone, Tsubaki and Kaname starts mimicking and making funny of them. After the date, they talk about more basketball and finally Subaru gives a cute little confession and asks Ema to go out with him. Ema was like “… I thought we were already dating.” (*´艸｀*)

For the epilogue, Ema told Subaru that he will need to show his affections through actions too, so Subaru asked her to close her eyes and he kissed her… forehead. HAHAHA o(∇≦o)≡(o≧∇)  HAHAHA She started LOLing so hard, to shut her up he gave her a peck on the lips. (*´艸｀*)

Hikaru

I’m biased towards Okamoto Nobuhiko, as I have mentioned I am a big fan of his. However, I found Hikaru’s route a bit lacking since he had little screen time as he appeared pretty late in the game. (´；ω；`) (+ 5/15 out of his CGs are from the same base._.) Surprisingly I preferred lady Hikaru > manry Hikaru, Okamoto’s manry voice isn’t as cute as his cute voice. (ｐ＿；) Okama Hikaru is much friendlier and has a cuter, more buoyant personality.

In late October, Ema caught Kaname calling someone (Hikaru) and nothing much happened til this point of the game that I made Ema spent most of her time by herself playing games like some hikikomori.  In November, Ema saw a pretty “lady” walking with Kaname on her way home. (*´艸｀*) Since they were heading in the same direction, they went home together and Ema found that Hikaru (who she thought was Kaname’s girlfriend) acts very familiar with everyone and behaves like she is in her own home. It only until Lious said “Hikaru-niisan” that she discovers Hikaru is actually okama one of her brothers and that he is a noir fiction writer under the pen name “Asakawa Hikaru”.

Hikaru became interested in her since he realized that all the other brothers are smitten with her. He tries to get to know her better by asking Ema to let him interview her for his work. On Christmas Eve, Ema meets manry Hikaru for the first time. Since manry Hikaru’s demeanor drastically differs from that of okama Hikaru, Ema couldn’t recognize him till he changes back to okama speech. He invites Ema to go shopping with him as he needed materials for writing, and he is not able to enter such a certain place without his feminine disguise. After they shopped at some cute accessory shop, Hikaru suggested that they participated in some Christmas candle relay event for couple. Ema realised that manry Hikaru has manry hands that are bigger than hers and gets all fidgety.

They went for the New Year’s shrine visit together as “the beautiful Asahina sisters”. (yes, he was in drag (〃ω〃) ) The store tenders gave them a lot food as extra service. (since Hikaru is pretty in drag)

One day, Hikaru calls Ema out and wants her to assist him in some interview since he is at an age where he won’t come into contact with female high school students often. (¬_¬) But all the ‘interviews’ just feel like some sort sexual harassment where he puts her through some simulation of his version of one of the brothers, to me it seems like Hikaru just wants to test which brother Ema is most interested in. ┓(  ´ _ `  )┏

Ema suddenly wanted to read Hikaru’s books so much, that she even puts her own safety at risk by visiting Kaname’s room at night just to borrow one of Hikaru’s books. After the usual chain of verbal sexual harassments, Kaname actually lends her one. When Hikaru stops answering her mail one day, Ema went to visit Hikaru’s house and … Σヽ(°Д°;)ﾉ I can’t tell whether it’s okama or manry or some hybrid version of Hikaru. He was in braids and pink/black sweat suit. Apparently he was rushing out a new script and went into battle mode. While Hikaru went back to battle, Ema cleans up Hikaru’s apartment and cooked dinner for him. ヽ(◎´З｀)ノEMAAA BECOME MY WAIFU!!!

After a while Ema gets all sad because she thinks that Hikaru only sees her as an interview target. She has a breakdown after Hikaru gives her a pseudo-confession because she feels that Hikaru is toying around with her affections for him. So she decided to stop responding to his mail and becomes all depressed.

In the ending, after 2 month of houchi play, Ema receives a parcel from Hikaru with a magazine containing a short story written under his pen name. It was a moving love story about a writer his interview target. At first, the writer only sees the heroine as a simple interview target, but slowly he started falling for her. The story ends with the writer running out of his house to confess his love for the heroine, and from the way it ended you can’t really tell whether they ended up together. Just as she realizes that it mirrors their own situation, Hikaru appeared outside her door. (Good timing Hikaru ( ´ ▽ ` )b) Apparently, Hikaru didn’t go to meet her immediately cause he was all busy writing the short story, and since he was a writer, he thought the best way to convey his feelings will be through words. The brothers soon picked up on their relationship from Hikaru’s new story, luckily mommy Ukyo comes to the rescue and changes the topic so that Ema can get away for her date with Hikaru.

In the epilogue, Ema attends a party for Hikaru’s story being turned into a movie and has some some sexy time with manry Hikaru afterwards. (〃ω〃)

Yuusuke

TSUNTSUNTSUNDEREDEREDERE~ Yuusuke fell in love with Ema at the first sight on his very first day of school. Just as he was about to celebrate the fact that he gets to be in the same class as the girl of his dreams in his second year, she suddenly becomes his sister and now he has to fight with 12 brothers for her affections. (´；ω；`)

If Subaru is a hero then Yuusuke is a superhero!(〃ω〃) He has a very strong sense of justice, and is a very nice, kind boy inside. Although he goes all tsuntsun, his deredere moments are yummy. In an event from the normal route, Yuusuke got into a fight to save an elderly person. And in one of the sleepover events, he became all teary eyed watching some medical (?) documentary. (人*´v`)

(80%) Forced by his bros, Yuusuke goes to school together with Ema. Since he is all tsuntsun DON’T CALL ME YUUSUKE-KUN IN SCHOOL!! He usually refuses to leave for school together with Ema. (Ema agreed not to call Yuusuke by his name in school, but she ends up doing it so often that I think she is actually doing it on purpose) (/ _-   ) On the crowded train, he protected Ema and they both started blushing in the shades of Yuusuke’s hair. (for some strange reason people like to reference his hair when they notice him blushing.)

Ema made a lunchbox for Yuusuke since he usually just eats lunch from the convenience store in school. Ema’s fanboy Sasakura comes along, seeing Ema with 2 bentos, he asks if he can have one. (Poor Yuusuke, he already has enough competition, and now his bento is about to get stolen) Of course superhero Yuusuke isn’t going to let the chance of eating Ema’s homemade bento get away, he went like DA———!! and dragged Ema all the way to the rooftop where he goes all tsuntsun then deredere and eats her bento! (*´艸｀*)

During the family trip, Ema accidentally cut her foot on some seashells and Yuusuke gets all panicky seeing her bleed, he gave Ema a piggy back and ran full force while he looking for Masaomi. They ran into Azusa and Tsubaki, and Ema finally got a chance to clear up the misunderstanding. Tsubaki started teasing Yuusuke about giving Ema a piggy back while they are both in swimsuit, Yuusuke ran off in embarrassment. (*´艸｀*)

While Ema and Yuusuke prepares for the school fest, they lost track of time and got trapped in school. Yes, all alone by themselves. (人*´v`) Yuusuke offers Ema his gakuran, but she refused it since she is scared that he might get a cold, so Yuusuke held hands with her to warm her up.

Since Yuusuke often wakes up late and skips breakfast, Ukyo asked Ema to go wake him up. Of course as a man, Yuusuke couldn’t let such a chance sent from his bro go to waste, when Ema tried waking him up, the half-wake Yuusuke pulled her into his futon as he thought that he was dreaming. (*´艸｀*)

After their exams, they went to a cute café holding hands (Yuusuke used the excuse that Ema’s hands were getting red from the cold) as Yuusuke wanted to return the favour to Ema for teaching him math. They had some Christmas couple parfait together with Yuusuke blushing like a cute little idiot

[skips the confession scene from Sasakura] After the rumors of Yuusuke and Ema dating started spreading, Yuusuke started avoiding Ema in school. Ema got really depressed and started crying, Sasakura comes to comfort her but Yuusuke got the wrong idea and thought that Sasakura was the one who made Ema cry and started punching the poor dude. Well at least Yuusuke and Ema made up.  ┓(  ´ _ `  )┏

Well, the ending has good news and bad news. The good news is Fuuto entered their high school, while the bad news is that WHY MUST THEY PUT SOME ANNOYING WEIRD ASS CHARACTER THAT TOTALLY KILLS YUUSUKE’S QUALITIES IN THE ENDING?!?!? (well to be truthful, it doesn’t tone down Yuusuke’s good quality but it polishes up his bad ones（　´_ゝ`） ) While Yuusuke reminiscing with Ema about her O-kappa hairstyle in their first year, the distaste blondE bundle of chipmunks, evil stepsisters and lip pumping lipstick failure called Minakami Natsuki comes along. Besides sticking to Yuusuke, stealing Yuusuke’s time, she is also the master OF employing primary school leveled bullying techniques.

You know why I said Fuuto is the good news? Beside the fact that he is charming and smexy, he is the only one who realizes Ema was being bullied and stood up for her in front of baka Yuusuke. (人*´v`) It was only because of Fuuto that Yuusuke finally realized that Ema was being bullied. Yuusuke immediately manned up and called everyone to the rooftop, where he confessed his feelings to Ema in front of both Minakami and Fuuto. The tsuntsun Yuusuke even professed that he fell in love with Ema at the first sight in front of everyone! He announced to everyone that in the first year they were placed into different classes, and when they finally got into the same class in second year he was really happy. He promised to protect Ema’s smile by her side, I don’t mean to be a wet blanket but in the epilogue Ema mentioned that they went through good times and bad times (got into fights), so baka Yuusuke didn’t 100% keep his promise. (¬_¬)

When Yuusuke got into university, he suddenly… proposed to Ema. (*´艸｀*)  It looks like his grief in Subaru’s route and Masaomi’s ending has paid off in his own ending. After they got into uni, baka Yuusuke still dislike to study, so in order to comply with both parties, they had a study date. However the leveled up Yuusuke isn’t just going to take the studying, he also collects his reward from Ema’s …lips. (Okay, that sounded weird)

side note: Yuusuke looks so much better with his hair down!! WHY CAN’T JUST GIVE THAT TO US ALL THE TIME. (´；ω；`)

Tsubaki☆

Tsubaki is like a troublemaker puppy dog that sticks to Ema 24/7. (*´艸｀*) He is constantly bickering with Kaname for Ema’s attention. He has imouto moe, so from the first day Ema moved into sunrise residence, she became his 本命. The other love of his life is his monozygotic triplet, Azusa, who he often pair up with in his seiyuu work. He often likes to tease Yuusuke and Subaru, and corrupt Wataru’s mind. Being an otaku, I guess we share the similar sentimental values. He wouldn’t miss out the Ferris wheel in the amusement park or the rooftop when he visited the school!

Tsubaki and Azusa invited Ema to an event for this game they voice acted in, and they cosplay in some black military uniform. During the event Tsubaki is really hyped up, and when they sang the theme song Tsubaki and Ema met each other’s gaze, of course all the fangirls around her goes TSU-KUN JUST LOOKED HERE!! KYAAA~~ but Juri was like (¬_¬) isn’t it just your imagination? After the event Tsubaki invited Ema backstage, he is like “ne? ne? How was it? I was reallyyy cool, wasn’t I? It made your heart beat faster right? You can dive into your brother’s embrace now, my sister!♥” [screenshot CG] Of course Tsubaki is cockblocked/Ema is saved by Azusa. Ema praised Tsubaki and Azusa’s voice acting skills and said that she is really proud that they are her brother, Tsubaki immediately pounced on Ema. According to Azusa, Tsubaki is just feeling too happy and shy so Ema should just let him cling on her for a while longer. ( *´艸｀)

During their family trip, Tsubaki and Azusa brought Ema to some remote island on a boat. Apparently all the working members of Asahina family have a boat license. (´･ω･`) お金持ちいいな～ It suddenly started raining so Tsubaki suggested that he will go check on the boat, and he came back with bad news — the boat’s engine is faulty. Ema pretended to be okay, but both Tsubaki and Azusa could tell that she was really scared, so they held her hands and promised her that it will be ok. After Ema calms down, Azusa forced Tsubaki to confess that actually the engine was fine. (/ _-   ) I don’t really know why Ema was in a bikini while both Azusa and Tsubaki were will their casual room wear.

Ema left her cellphone the in common room one day and she accidentally saw Tsubaki and Azusa “confessing their love” for each other. Although Ema claims to not know what BL is, you can see from the CG that she is having some BL fangirl daydream. (ﾉ∀｀*ヽ) Ema buckled up all her courage and asked about their relationship the next morning. Yuusuke went Σ (゜ε゜〃) Actually Azusa was actually helping Tsubaki practice for his upcoming role in a brother/sister forbidden love drama CD.

Ema and Tsubaki visited a bookstore on their way home from a date since Tsubaki wanted to pick up some (suspicious) magazines. Ema saw a magazine that featured Tsubaki and Azusa, and Tsubaki got kind of jelly and sad since he realises that Azusa receives more work than him. One night, Tsubaki brings Ema a new action game that he voice acted for, and Ema invites Tsubaki to play with her. Tsubaki feels disappointed over his own voice acting in the games, he thinks that lacked real ability and is only famous because he is marketed as a “set” with Azusa. After some ranting, he reverts back to his normal peppy self.

Tsubaki has this dream role in his favorite robo anime that spurred him on to become a seiyuu, when they casted Azusa for the role instead, he turned on his sad puppy mode and refused to have dinner. Azusa knew that Tsubaki has always dreamt of doing the role and tried to refuse it, but the producers wanted to cast him when he didn’t even go for the audition. Ema had to deliever dinner to Tsubaki. Of course our imouto moe moe kyun can’t resist the temptation at his doorstep, and Ema recharges up his batteries again so Tsubaki switches back to his happy puppy mode.

On Christmas Eve, Ukyo sent Tsubaki and Ema to get some fairy lights for the Christmas tree. Together, they watched the illuminations on the street. Tsubaki thanked Ema for being his source of energy and gave her a bracelet for Christmas, you can’t expect Tsubaki to let go of such good chance to go ichaicha with Ema. ಠ‿ಠ

Tsubaki goes hysterical when Azusa fell ill. I don’t think they specify what Azusa had in the game, but it was quite serious as he had to stay in the hospital for almost 2 month. Tsubaki had to take over some of Azusa’s roles, and this included the robo anime role Tsubaki had always wanted. He tried to mimic Azusa’s acting as he has some complex about being the replacement for Azusa. However, Tsubaki goes sad puppy again when he doesn’t have the confidence to do the job ‘as perfectly’ as Azusa. Ema comes to the rescue again, she tells Tsubaki that she loves his voice as he has his own special charms and she goes all dokidoki for the role he voice acts in. [on happy puppy mode] Tsubaki gets recharged again and gave Ema lots of kisses as an reward.

Azusa finally gets discharged after 2 month, Tsubaki and Azusa had a heart-to-heart session in the hospital where they made up and promised to work hard on their careers.

Tsubaki End:

Tsubaki invites Ema to watch Azusa’s new anime, even when he realizes how Azusa capable is in voice acting this time, he doesn’t go into sad puppy mode anymore. Tsubaki asks Ema out, of course she couldn’t reject the puppy so she said yes. ( *´艸｀) Ema helps Tsubaki with voice acting practicing in his soundproof room, bu they didn’t stick to the plan for long and have some sexy time.

When Tsubaki said “No one will be able to hear our voice from outside, so no matter what kind of voice you make, it wouldn’t trouble anyone.” SUZUMURA KENICHI USED HIS LUSCIOUS ALVARO VOICE FOR THIS LINE (*´д`*)ﾊｧﾊｧ

3P End:

Both Tsubaki and Azusa realize that they have gained some important in life, and both couldn’t pick one over the other, so they went 3P. Ema also seems to be okay with that, she closes her eyes and couldn’t tell who she was kissing but she likes it anyways so everyone ends up happy, I guess. (ﾉ∀｀*ヽ)

FUUTO

Fuuto deserves to have his name capitalized and bolded because of the services his has contributed in Yuusuke’s ending. In my biased opinion, people who work hard deserve to take great pride in themselves and his cheeky ore-sama bits just makes the dere bits even sweeter in contrast!! + His ‘onee-san’ makes me all tingly inside. (*´д`*)ﾊｧﾊｧ HOW CAN YOU RESIST FUUTO?!!

Ema doesn’t get to meet Fuuto until one month after she moved in as he was tour. She found him sleeping on the sofa in the common room and went all IT’S A REAL IDOL RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! His face is really pretty and his eyelashes are soooo long~~ Of course that was before he opened his mouth. The first thing he does is to accuse Ema of assaulting him when he is asleep and kept telling her that she looks dumb. （　´_ゝ`）Fuuto had to squeeze his drama shoot into the family trip in order to join them due to his tight schedule. Ema stumbled upon the filming location on a walk, but she dared not approach it as she was afraid Fuuto will pick on her again, but Fuuto still managed to catch a glimpse of her. He sends her a mail at night after the shoot, complaining about her stalking him. Almost immediately after the mail, he called her and complained that her reply is too slow ( *´艸｀) Ema praised Fuuto’s acting, and he tried to act indifferent but you can tell Ema hit the spot. To hide his embarrassment, he changed the topic and makes Ema cook dinner and wait for him.

Louis visited Ema’s school festival in Fuuto’s route, and being the good elder brother he is, he sent a picture of Ema’s bunny maid costume to Fuuto. (*´艸｀*) Almost immediately again, Fuuto called Ema to teased her about it, he even asked her to bring the costume home and wear it at home for him.

Fuuto opens up to her when they were watching a movie, Ema noticed that he is always chasing a certain actor with his eyes so he revealed to her that his real dream was to be an actor. Since he knew he can’t always continue on being an idol, he wants to be able to solely focus on acting and he builds his career around it. Ema started crying when she saw the sorrowful expression on his face. She could tell that he was serious in trying to accomplish his dreams. Fuuto suddenly realized how much of an adorable/pretty sister he has… then Yuusuke cockblocks by spamming Fuuto’s doorbell. Cockblock? What are you talking about? Fuuto is way too high leveled to be cockblocked by ringing doorbells. Instead, he made use of the feeble attempt to stick closer to Ema while they pretended not to be in, then he turned up his deredere-ness to the max and tells Ema that he still want to enjoy the time alone with her. (*´艸｀*)

Ema receives VIP tickets to Fuuto’s Christmas Eve concert. Louis fixed her hair and told her that the invitation is really special as no one else in the family has ever got invited to any of Fuuto’s events before. Fuuto’s idol group revealed their new song, and the lyrics were written by none other than our Fuuto. Fuuto explained that it’s a song about the true feelings of a boy usually who can’t be honest/ straightforward, after which he looks in Ema’s direction and whispers “… Sorry for always troubling you.” o(∇≦o)≡(o≧∇)o Omigosh that totally made me run around my room like a mad idiot and I squealed in a higher pitch than the Fan1 in the game. Sadly we don’t get to hear KENN sing. (ｐ＿；) Fuuto invites her backstage after the concert and Ema thanked him for the lovely Christmas present. Fuuto reminded her that he actually had given her 1 more present during the concert. (*´艸｀*).

Fuuto’s movie shoot doesn’t go well,while he doesn’t go into sad puppy mode like Tsubaki does, Ema could tell that he was down. Fuuto confides that he is undertaking an important shoot right, and if the filming goes well, his boss will let him focus his career into acting. However, the harder he tries, the more he seems to fail, Fuuto gets insecure that he is actually bad at acting and is about to give up… but our aneki Ema gave him a lecture and whips Fuuto back onto the right track.

Fuuto’s schedule is always tight so he doesn’t get much time with Ema, because he wants to see his lovely onee-san so much, he invites Ema to watch cherry blossoms at night with him. Fuuto announced that he has passed his high school entrance exams and promises to give her a thrilling surprise around the time the cherry blossoms withers. (*´艸｀*) Soon, Fuuto enters Ema’s high school. Yuusuke went likeΣ(・Д・ﾉ)ﾉ when he saw Fuuto in school, and Yuusuke being the optimist he is, immediately decided that it was because Fuuto was causing Ema and him to worry too much that they are seeing some mirage/illusion of him. (⌒   ⌒)b GJ Yuusuke. Ema gets an afterschool date with Fuuto the next day, they passed through the park and Fuuto only bought 1 icecream for them to share. (*´艸｀*) Ema gets flustered when Fuuto teases her about them sharing an indirect kiss, Fuuto then confessed that he has always wanted to try going home with her once, since he gets jelly over Yuusuke being the only one who gets to do that with Ema. o(∇≦o)≡(o≧∇)o He reminds her that he is a celebrity and he is doing so much for her (since he is putting a lot at risk to be seen having a date with a girl), he asks her to should stop acting so thick-headed and pretend that she doesn’t know of his feelings…

[side note: in Yuusuke vs Fuuto route, Yuusuke will try to cockblock here and you get a CG, I can’t really remember much about it, if you want real 3P, Tsubaki & Azusa’s end is much MUCH more stimulating]

Again, due to Fuuto’s tight schedule they don’t get to see each other for a while, by chance they met in the school library but soon Fuuto has to go off for another shoot. Fuuto goes all deredere and asked whether he can hug her, Ema immediately noticed that Fuuto was feeling down. Even though his previous movie went well, it didn’t manage to pass his boss’s yardstick so the career change agreement has to be brought forward to his next movie. Ema tells him that she was glad she could see the Fuuto feeling depressed, and explains that he was feeling depressed because he is actually devoted to his job and goal, and asks Fuuto to show her his cool side in his next film. (*´艸｀*) Fuuto gets back on his feet once again and tried to change the subject to hide his embarrassment by asking Ema which book she was trying to get. He helps her retrieve a book that she couldn’t reach, this made Ema realise that Fuuto has grown taller and goes all dokidoki for the manly Fuuto as he embraces her. (*´艸｀*)

Ema catches Fuuto’s new movie by herself and Fuuto slipped in to give her a peck on the lips. ┓(*´ー｀)┏ At this time I was really bewildered by while Fuuto is so sexy and has only scored one kiss from Ema, well, fear not! Smexy demon king Fuuto decides to sleeps in on their date. The sad and lonery Ema then started monologue about how lonery she is, that she has really been looking forward to the date with him since they don’t get much time together due to his work and… if he does that she will go out with someone else! Do getting a feeling of déjà vu now? (*´艸｀*)  Fuuto was actually just pretending to sleep and pushes Ema down on his bed, since he needs to ‘punish’ her for talking about going out with another guy in front of him, Fuuto changes plans and moves the date indoors. Since it has been awhile since Fuuto has gotten a taste of Ema, he tells her that he might not be able to hold back, in return, Ema replied that there is no need for him to hold back. (〃v〃) And they have some sexy time.

side note: I really LOVED Fuuto’s theme, OST OST OST! I demand OST!

Conclusion

I really hope that they are delaying Brilliant Blue for so long because they are going to add in elements from the second season. Overall, I love the game. It’s a miracle for me to actually finish a game COMPLETELY. By completely I mean going through the trouble to unlock every CG, every scene. I think the only other game I had managed to play through completely was Wand of Fortune. (AH LULU! MY BABY MY WIFE!!)

My character ranking for PP will go like: Fuuto > Tsubaki > Yuusuke > Masaomi = Hikaru > Kaname <- made the list due to his redeeming kitty scene and hot epilogue CGs (notice how I left out someone?) Subaru is just (¬_¬), and I think I started discriminating against him even more after I read Natsume’s manga.

I skipped the part on Ema finding out that she wasn’t Rintaro’s kid by blood because I had developed a strong annoyance towards the scene after playing through around 10 times (7 routes + normal end +2 3P end) where I have to go through the same drama. It was around the same for everyone, after Ema runs off, one of the brother/ Juri comes after her and encourages her in their own ways (ok sorry it’s not the same but similar).

I didn’t include the dates/ sleepover because it’s random. (not just that they seem to happen randomly, but the contents are random too, like how Yuusuke’s ♥ increased after I picked a red clock over pink and blue ones._. DISCRIMINATION AGAINST NON-RED CLOCKS) [excuses notice I didn’t mention about Valentine and White day either? I’m lazy and just can’t stand repetitive stuff]

I like how they let us go on dates with the BB character. (sadly no sleepover) Iori is the perfect prince type, good at sports, academic and everything. He rides a bike to school and that’s kind of cute. (〃ω〃) Wataru gets me excited thinking about how they are handling his route in BB (*´艸｀*) I guess the characters I’m most excited for in BB is probably Iori > Wataru > Azusa = Natsume> Louis > Ukyo
